Singer “The Weeknd” Arrested for Punching a Cop in Head

Canadian R&B recording artist Abel Tesfaye, known by his stage name “The Weeknd” was arrested on Saturday in Las Vegas after he was allegedly accused of punching a cop in the head.



Reports from TMZ, has it that officers responded to a fight protest at the Cromwell Hotel around 4 am, where the gifted singer was found in the act. 

But when one of the cops tried to pull the "Love me harder" songster into an elevator, The Weeknd purportedly hit him in the head. Although the singer was locked up he was later bailed out soon after. 

After his release, The Weeknd posted a photo on Instagram that he captioned, "escaped from Las Vegas." Which show him leaving Vegas on a private jet.
